Lighting Terms

Gerneral lighting:

Also called as "black lighting" or "ambient lighting", it is the foundation of lighting arrangement and refers to non-directional lighting covering  the whole room. It creates a gernerallly sufficient lighting basis for the space or activities inside the room.

Accent lighting:

Aslo called as "decorative lighting" ,it refers to the lighting way of imposing directed projection to some specifc object or area to attract the attention. It is usually utilized to strengthen a specific part or layout of space , such as construction factors, framework, wardrobe, collections,decorations,artworks and so on.

Focus lighting:

Also called as "task lighting", it is a kind of directed lighting and used to finish some kind of particular activites, such as reading , writing, plaing game or artistic labor. It makes a light spot to attrct our attention and tells us what to see , or focuses our view on important components of space or activity center.
